Ferrite magnets are divided into sintered ferrite and bonded ferrite magnets, both of which belong to the category of ferrite magnets, but the physical properties of the two types of magnets are somewhat different. All magnets have the same sex and opposite sex. Bonded ferrite magnets and sintered ferrites also have the difference of the same and opposite sex.
Bonded ferrite magnet is made by a molding method of injection and molding. The pellets or powders of polymer components are put into an extruder, and they are melted, mixed, and cut into standard sizes of plastic magnetic particles. The plastic magnetic particles are added to the injection molding machine, and the molten solution is injected into the mold cavity through the nozzle and the runner system of the mold, and finally cooled and shaped.
Sintered ferrite magnet is the most common type of magnet in ordinary life. The dark surface, stable magnetism, and relatively cheap price are the great advantages of sintered ferrite. Sintered ferrite magnet is manufactured through ceramic technology. It has a relatively hard texture, but it is also a kind of brittle material.
Although they are both ferrite magnets, there is a big difference in temperature resistance between these two ferrite magnets. The maximum working temperature of bonded ferrite magnets can reach 180°C, while that of sintered ferrite magnets can reach about 250°C. Therefore, for some products in high temperature working environment, sintered ferrite can meet the requirements of many high temperature work with both high temperature resistance and stable performance.
Similarly, the two materials are different in the production of molds. The same-sex ferrite is a weak magnet, so the cost of the mold has a very large price advantage. However, the magnetism of the same-sex ferrite is relatively weak, while the mold of the opposite-sex ferrite is more expensive but with the stronger magnetism .
